Erika Toda stars as a naive and honest college student was tricked into participating in a game of deception, the Liar Game. The aim of the game is to trick the other players out of their hundred million dollars. Matsuda Shota plays as an expert swindler who help her through the game with his exceptional skills.

The series will continues from the first season. This time, she will team up with Matsuda and one of their rival in the previous game, who was played by Suzuki Kosuke. Together they will facing off against three more opponents in new games of deception, such as "24 Rensou Russian Roulette" and "17 Poker." The players will face off in four games and a semifinal round in the second season.

Shun Oguri stars as a former military elite in New York City Police Interpol, who is cool-headed and disciplined. He teamed up with Hiroshi Nakajima, a detective from a special investigative division in order to conduct joint investigation on major drug dealing transactions with the Japanese police. Hiroshi is a hot headed former delinquent and is always interested in going on group dates. The difference of personality, interests, and investigation methods making the combination of two as one of the biggest highlight in the drama. The whole drama focus on Yoshitaka Yuriko, who plays as a mysterious woman who holds the key to solve the cases. The relationships between the three of them are also interesting as well.
